Focal has unveiled a trio of new headphones ready for release, including the affordable new in-ear Spark and Spark wireless headphones , as well as a new wireless version of the company’s impressive Listen headphones. Whether you’re looking for economical listening on the go or something a bit more, each of the three models has something to offer.
Spark and Spark Wireless
Focal has positioned these two pairs as the follow up to its Sphear in-ears that originally launched in 2015. Both the Spark and Spark Wireless feature robust aluminum housings, featuring 9.5mm drivers with a claimed 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response.
Both sets also offer three-button mic pieces for fielding phone calls, as well as a hard carrying case, and three sizes of silicon eartips. The loop-styled Spark Wireless feature Bluetooth 4.1 for wireless connection, a somewhat middling 8-hour battery runtime, and of course, a USB to USB Micro charging cable.
Priced at $69 , the wired Spark comes in black and silver, with a cobalt model slated for mid-to-late July, while the Spark Wireless will run you $99 . Available now in black and white, the wireless model will also get a rose gold tint in mid-to-late July as well. Both models are available at Focal’s website .
Listen Wireless
As the name indicates, the Listen Wireless is the wireless version of Focal’s previously released Listen headphones . This Listen Wireless are powered by 40mm drivers within each memory foam-padded earcup, with a frequency response of 15Hz to 22kHz and 32 Ohm impedance. The cans boast Bluetooth 4.1, with a claimed 60-foot listening radius, aptX for high quality wireless streaming, and touch pairing via NFC on supported devices.
The headphones will remember up to 8 devices at a time and can also connect to two devices simultaneously, allowing you to easily switch between devices. Focal also claims the Listen Wireless boast an impressive 20-hour battery runtime. Other features include an on-board microphone and a three-button control system on the earcup.
Available in mid July for $300, the Listen Wireless will ship with a soft carry case, a USB to USB Micro for charging, plus an analog cable for wired 3.5mm connection. You can check out all of Focal’s latest headphones online now.
