The Google Pixel 10 launch is firmly on the horizon. A Made by Google event is scheduled for August 20 , and when the keynote kicks off at 1pm ET (10am PT) we expect to be treated to a Pixel-packed fest.
The Google Pixel 9 has been enjoying its time in the sun, thanks to its stunning cameras, spectacular battery life, spontaneous use of Gemini AI, and a matte finish on par with the iPhone 16 . We’ve also seen the affordable Pixel 9a launch, but it’s high time for Google’s next generation of phones.
Android 16 has already rolled out, giving us a glimpse of next-gen Gemini AI bells and whistles. These are going to form the software foundations for the Pixel 10 series, with a healthy dose of new tricks likely to follow in the coming weeks.
For now, though, we’re trawling through the latest Pixel 10 rumors and analyzing Google’s previous launches to bring you what we expect from the next Pixel flagship phone.

Google Pixel 10: release date and price rumors so far

The Google Pixel 10 launch date is confirmed for August 20, with the Google Store website firmly stating the fact the handset will arrive on this date. And it won’t just be phones being shown off, as Google confirmed that there will be “Pixel phones, watches, buds, and more” in its media invite for the event.
And we might have a pretty good idea about the Google Pixel 10 price, after a comprehensive leak appeared to reveal the US and Canada prices for all the models expected to arrive in the series. The good news is, if the report is accurate, Google won’t be raising prices of any of its Pixel 10 handsets over the launch price of the Pixel 9 series.
This goes against some previous suggestions Google might have been considering a $100 price increase across all models, and it also contradicts an earlier Android Headlines report which said the Pixel 10 Pro Fold would drop to $1,600. That price drop is now looking less likely.
Writing on BlueSky , leakster Roland Quandt spilled the European asking price for the entire Pixel 10 range, with increases across the board. But as the tariff situation is pretty volatile, Google may have been able to massage costs since this particular report.
How many Google Pixel 10 handsets will there be?
Google launched four handsets as part of the Pixel 9 series in August 2024 (Pixel 9, Pixel 9 XL , Pixel 9 Pro , Pixel 9 Pro Fold ), and it then followed up with the Pixel 9a in April 2025.
A leak claiming to reveal the model numbers for the Pixel 10 line-up suggests Google is readying another four devices to arrive together this year.
Leaked Pixel 10 model numbers
- Google Pixel 10 : GLBW0 and GL066
- Google Pixel 10 Pro : G4QUR and GN4F5
- Google Pixel 10 Pro XL : GUL82
- Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold : GU0NP
And we can’t rule out a mid-cycle arrival of a more affordable variant – likely to be called the Pixel 10a if Google is to follow its previous launch history.
If the Pixel 10a does exist, we’d expect it to arrive between March and May 2026, following the launch pattern set by the Pixel 9a, 8a and 7a.
Google Pixel 10: design and display
A month before its launch event, Google published a Pixel 10 page on its online store , confirming the handset will arrive on August 20 (the date of the previously confirmed Made by Google event).
Along with these details, we also got a 13 second video clip which shows us the entire back of a handset. Judging by the larger camera bar, we expect this is the Pixel 10 Pro rather than the Pixel 10.
The most recent leak has seen a huge number of images posted on X by reliable tipster @Evleaks, claiming to show the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The design is no great surprise, as the folks over at Android Headlines (and @OnLeaks) shared alleged renders of the Pixel 10 series a while back now, and they seem to mirror Google’s official teaser.

The signature pill-shaped camera island with a two-tone metallic finish is here to stay. Google could be playing with peppy colors, such as pink – although a Pixel 10 color leak doesn’t have pink as an option. It seems even the dimensions will be more or less the same across all three Pixel 10 models compared to their predecessors. The screen size is also touted to be identical.
As far as color options go, early reports suggested the Pixel 10 will arrive in four colors, which include a rather enticing lemongrass shade. Another report , which included claimed “official renders” of the Pixel 10 named the four color options as Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Limoncello. You can find out more in the video below.
Meanwhile the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are tipped to arrive in a different set of colors -understated and premium, to compliment the higher price tags the ‘Pro’ models will carry. The Pro colors leaks points to a choice of four colors; Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Moonstone (blue-gray), and Jade (green with gold accents).
As for the Fold trim, it could be available in moonstone (likely a shade of pearl white) and jade colors.
An unexpected change will reportedly will reportedly be the enhanced ingress protection on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google’s upcoming foldable phone is said to offer an IP68-certified build, one of the first to do so in its segment.

That’s going to be a huge draw for foldable phone enthusiasts, who are often worried about the long-term durability of the sophisticated hardware.
Google Pixel 10: Internal changes
On the outside, the Pixel 10 could have a 6.3-inch display complete with an OLED panel that boasts an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will also have more or less the same chassis build and matte glass finish on the back as its predecessor.
If true, that would mean the Pixel 10 would boast Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, making the phone simultaneously soft to the touch and extremely tough.
A few other rumors suggest a notable boost in the brightness levels, which are climbing from 2,700 nits to 3,000 nits (peak) and 2,000 nits regular brightness output on the Pixel 10 series phones. It is, however, unclear whether these display improvements will be exclusive to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, or if they will also make their way to the mainline Pixel 10 devices, as well.
The mainline Google Pixel 10 series devices are being tipped for only minor hardware upgrades over the Pixel 9. One of those upgrades is, reportedly, embedding the Tensor G5 processor into the phone, enabling it to match the iPhone in performance compared to the Tensor G4 chip.
The Tensor G5 chip will apparently rely on eight CPU cores to run tasks of varying sizes — one Arm Cortex-X4 processing core for heavy-duty tasks, two Cortex-A520 cores for lighter tasks, and five Cortex-A725 cores for medium-intensity programs.
The biggest change, however, is a shift away from Samsung foundry to TSMC, the same company that also handles Apple silicon.
According to Android Authority , the TSMC-made Tensor G5 package shifts away from the Arm Mali GPU and adopts an IMG DXT graphics engine.
Things are also going to get a lift in the camera department, behind the scenes, that is. As per the aforementioned report, Google is going with a fully custom image signal processor (ISP) for the Tensor G5. What benefits it will bring to the table for an average “Pixel camera enthusiast” remains to be seen.
The chip will be based on TSMC’s 3nm N3E process node. It would be interesting to see if Google’s Tensor processor can finally get over its efficiency and raw performance issues, which many feel have been tied to the inherent similarities with Samsung’s Exynos silicon.
Google Pixel 10: software
Software-wise, the phone is rumored to launch with Pixel Sense , the most advanced AI assistant on Google devices yet. Pixel Sense (nicknamed “Pixie” prior to its announcement earlier this year) is reported to rely on Gemini Nano, the compact version of Google Gemini, pull and collate data from various apps, text messages, images, and other media files, and provide contextual predictions based on how you use Pixel.

It might answer questions about your personal data, but those answers won’t be sent to Google’s servers. In other words, your secrets should stay safe inside the phone. New wallpapers and tunes are also said to be a part of the package. We are also expecting some next-gen AI-driven agentic capabilities and deeper-level Gemini integration on a system-wide basis.
Some shaky rumors are predicting a new “sketch to image” tool that will reportedly work the same way as Apple’s implementation with Apple Intelligence.
On a similar note, a voice-driven “speak to tweak” feature that allows photo editing via voice commands could also be on the horizon. As you can sense it by now, there’s nothing too remarkable, but Google just might deliver a few surprises to make up for the meh hardware upgrade situation. Let’s wait and watch!
Google Pixel 10: camera
The cameras for the Google Pixel 10 are rumored to retain the pill-shaped module that was introduced to the Pixel 9, so it sounds like the design won’t change as much. However, the Pixel 10 reportedly has a dedicated telephoto camera for the first time, which is said to deliver 11 megapixels of zoomed-in photos.
Despite the telephoto lens bringing the base model phone in line with the Pro models, the upgrade could come at the expense of the other cameras. The ultrawide camera is said to be 13MP, while the selfie camera is rumored as 11MP. However, the main camera is set to still be 50MP, although it’ll be upgraded to the Samsung GN8 sensor, which was present in the Pixel 9a.

In contrast, the ultrawide camera on the Pixel 9 is 48MP, while the selfie camera is 10.5MP. The selfie camera gets upgraded just a smidge on the Pixel 10, but the quality of the other cameras will suffer tremendously for it. If Google wants to make sure the addition of the telephoto lens to the base model is worth the upgrade, it should add the 8x Super Res Zoom to the camera as well.
As far as the Pro models go, there’s no meaningful change to be seen this year, as per leaks. The Pixel 10 Pro and its XL variant will adopt a familiar triple-lens system that includes a 50-megapixel main snapper and a pair of 48-megapixel sensors for ultrawide and long-range zoom capture. It seems Google will be making a few improvements under the hood.
Meanwhile, reports suggest the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will come with a similar camera array as the 9 Pro Fold, which might be a little bit of a let down considering last year’s pricey foldable had weaker cameras than the Pro and Pro XL.
According to Android Headlines , Google has dramatically improved the camera stabilization chops on the Pixel 10 series. “We can confirm that Google will debut heavily upgraded image stabilization. Think of using a Pixel 10 on a DJI Osmo Mobile 6, but without that gimbal,” says the report. Will the Pixel finally catch up with the iPhone’s greatest camera strength? I’m not sure, but I am excited to see it unfold in tests.
Google Pixel 10: battery and charging

Now on to the important part of the Pixel 10: battery life and charging speeds. There’s not much information about battery size or life span yet, but rumors say that it may have a 4,700 mAh battery, just like the Pixel 9, or larger, going up to 5,000 mAh.
At any of those sizes, the battery will have enough juice to let the Pixel run for 24 hours, or up to 100 hours in Extreme Battery Saver Mode, which sounds unrealistic considering the battery goes down fast from obscene screen time, try as we might to save power.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will reportedly feature a 5,015 mAh capacity battery, putting it ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 . There isn’t much to say about the Pixel 10’s charging speed, either. However, if it is anything like the Pixel 9, it may support 45W of fast charging, charging the battery up to 55% in 30 minutes.
